Visique Rose Optometrists is a technologically advanced practice with 5 optometrists jointly having over 80 years experience in eye care. Our optometrists are members of the NZ Association of Optometrists and the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of NZ, and are committed to continuing education in all areas of optometry.

Paul Rose

Dip. Opt; B Sc.; FNZSCLP; Designer of the Rose K contact lens for keratoconus, distributed to over 60 countries worldwide. Paul has practiced in Frankton since 1969. He specialises in contact lenses, dedicating his time in the practice to this area of optometry. He is a very approachable passionately dedicated man who is best described by the adage, work hard play harder!

Simon Rose, Optometrist

Dip. Opt; B Sc.; MBCO. Simon (not related to Paul) joined the Frankton practice in 1982 and practices all areas of general optometry. A keen skier, Simon believes in giving his patients the best results that optometric eye care can deliver. Simon is Visique Rose Optometrists very own wordsmith, he is always there to educate and inform about the many complexities of the english language.

Peter Walker, Optometrist

B. Optom.; Cert. Ocular Therapeutics. Peter joined the practice in 1995, entering in to partnership with Paul and Simon in 2000. Peter is experienced in general optometry with a specialisation in keratoconus and paediatric contact lens fitting. Peter is qualified to prescribe ocular therapeutic medications to treat some eye infections/inflammations. In his spare time he enjoys taking part in fundraising activities such as the very hotly contested Miss Matangi. On a rainy day he enjoys sitting on the couch and watching his favourite southpark character Eric.

Jagrut Lallu, Optometrist

B Optom Hons. Jagrut joined the practice in February 2009. Jagrut has a special interest in keratoconus fitting and the increasing move to visual correction using Ortho-keratology. He currently sits on the Orthokeratology Society for Oceania board as the New Zealand representative, is a councilor for the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of New Zealand and is the current branch president for the New Zealand Association of Optometrists Waikato Branch. He enjoys spinning a yarn and sharing a few good gags, in the summer he enjoys working on his tan at the beach and is an accomplished sportsman.

Pooja Rudrale

B Optom; Pooja also joined the team February 2009. Pooja enjoys practicing general optometry and has a passion for fitting soft contact lenses in particular multifocal lenses. She has a keen interest in dispensing and enjoys helping patients select new frames and sunglasses. Pooja loves dancing and is currently learning Zumba dance lessons in Hamilton, thai is a must have favourite cuisine with italian as a close second.

Julie Purdy

Practice Manager, QOFE and Dip.Bus.Mgmt. Inducted into the Rose Family: 1985. 1988 saw the first Red nose day in the United Kingdom and the first screening of Die Hard in cinemas, it was also the first year that Jule's took up her role as practice manager for Visique Rose Optometrists. She is a true master of all trades (practice related) and jack of none! By self admission her favourite treat is Champagne & hard caramel chocolates – together of course!

Vicki Munro

Inducted into the Rose Family: 1989. Books, movies, friends and family are very firmly engrained in Vicki's mantra, Vicki is a firm believer in the great confucious quote "if you find a job you love then you will never work a day in your life again" She is a very accomplished and experienced optical consultant and is always happy to help with your eyewear selection.

Arthur Ferguson

Inducted into the Rose Family: 1995. Arthur worked in standard optical laboratories for four years in 1987, since then he has travelled the world and was a sailmaker for team NZ in the 1992 Americas Cup challenge. In 1995 he took up the role of lens technician, this enables us to offer a one hour change service whereby we can cut and fit lenses to frames. He is also an avid cyclist and is currently the NZ phase 2 champion for 2009.

Lyndsay Brodie

Inducted into the Rose Family: 2001. Lyndsay is the meet and greeter at the front counter. More often than not she will be the friendly voice on the phone, she loves her two grown up boys to bits and is always there to brighten up anyones day.

Phillipa Hunter

Inducted into the Rose Family: 2003. Pip manages to keeo track of our payslips and has an interest in contact lenses. When you book in for a contact lens teach, Pip will be the great wise one that will tell you all of the Do's and Don'ts associated with contact lens wear and complications. In her spare time she performs visual fields, corneal maps and photos of the eyes.

Ingrid McAdam

Inducted into the Rose Family: 2006. Ingrid is a connoisseur of fine foods and enjoys the odd tipple. By her own confession she loves surfing without getting wet. Ingrid is a lens specialist whos area of expertise lies is dealing with complex prescriptions, she loves finding the perfect frame, because as we all know, every face deserves a great frame.

Ninoua Youkhanna

Inducted into the Rose Family: 2007. Ninoua recently graduated from TAFE NSW and is a qualified Dispensing Optician. She is a very dedicated and talented member of staff. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and loves chocolate.

Sadé Lomas

Inducted into the Rose Family: 2010. Sadé has an interest in all areas of optometry, she is the ultimate in multitasking; she performs contact lens teaches, as well as helping in the selection of frames and lenses for all of our patients. She loves outdoor entertainment events and will never say no to a Strawberry Freddo
