Jessica Wood

Jessica Wood — Jess — is a therapeutically qualified optometrist who graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Optometry (First Class Honours) in 2023. Her honours research project sparked an interest in clinical research that she has kept up ever since.

Jess splits her week between general optometry at Rose and clinical research at the New Zealand Eye Research Centre, the practice's own research facility. In the clinic she examines children from six weeks of age and adults; in the research centre she works on the studies that inform how the practice treats its patients.

Special interests: clinical research, orthokeratology, keratoconus, dry eye, children's vision, general optometry.
